Valve One builds immersive, hands-on experiences that help people understand complex technology. We prototype fast, experiment often, and bring ideas to life for international launches and live environments.

Location and ways of working

  • Office: Vallila, Helsinki
  • Hybrid: work from home is possible, but collaboration, ideation, and building together require regular presence at the office.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build 3D-printed installations and prototypes (from sketch to finished physical object).
  • 3D model parts for printing, iterate quickly, and prepare files for production.
  • Run 3D printers, troubleshoot and handle post-processing and assembly.
  • Hands-on electronics: soldering, wiring, basic circuits, sensors, and LEDs.
  • Prototype with Arduino / Raspberry Pi and write simple control / interaction logic.
  • Support the team with testing, documentation, and making prototypes reliable for real-world use.

What we are looking for

  • Junior or mid-level background with a strong hands-on mindset (you like building, testing, fixing, and trying again).
  • Experience with 3D modelling for fabrication (any CAD/DCC tool is fine) and basic 3D printing workflows.
  • Comfort with electronics basics and soldering (or strong motivation to learn quickly).
  • Some coding experience (Arduino C/C++, Python, or similar) and willingness to dive into new tools.
  • Team player who enjoys sharing knowledge, sparring ideas, and collaborating in-person when it matters.
  • Ability to work in Finnish or English; strong communication skills in English are especially appreciated (most customers are international).
  • Curiosity for modern workflows - you are not afraid to experiment with AI-assisted tools as part of ideation, design, or coding when it helps the work.

Nice to have

  • Industrial design / product design / mechatronics background or similar.
  • LED programming (addressable LEDs, patterns, DMX/Art-Net).
  • Workshop skills (laser cutting, CNC, finishing/painting, model making).
  • Experience with Blender, Autodesk 3ds Max, or Unreal Engine (our team uses these).

What we offer

  • A supportive team and collaborative working culture
  • Comprehensive occupational health care
  • Lunch, sports, culture, massage benefits
  • HSL travel benefit
  • Salary range: 2200 - 3200€
  • Salary range: 2200-3200€

How to apply

Send:

  • Link to your portfolio (photos/videos of builds, prototypes, or projects - personal work is welcome).
  • CV / LinkedIn.
  • A short note: what do you want to learn next, and what kind of things do you enjoy building?
